Periodic inspection and safety certificate
In Switzerland the periodic inspection is the owner's duty, not the contractor's formality. We organise it, prioritise the defects and see it through to a signed certificate.
Who owes the inspection
Responsibility sits with the owner of the installation. The letter from the network operator announcing a deadline is not marketing: once it expires the supply can be cut, and in the event of a claim the insurer will ask questions.
What we do
We appoint an independent accredited inspection body, read the report, separate genuine safety defects from mere alignment with the current standard, and turn that into a prioritised programme with a cost range. We then tender the remedial work and follow it through to signature of the safety certificate.
Across a portfolio this means one register in which every building has its deadline, its condition and its budget — instead of fifty separate letters.
What a report typically contains
- Urgent
- Missing residual current protection, inadequate protection against contact, unacceptable temporary work — dealt with first.
- Medium term
- Obsolete boards, incomplete labelling, missing documentation — planned and budgeted.
- Not urgent
- Departures from the current standard with no hazard — picked up at the next intervention.
Questions about electrical compliance
What is my deadline?
It is stated in the network operator's letter and depends on the use of the building: typically twenty years for housing, shorter for commercial premises and special installations. Send us the letter and we will read it.
Can the contractor who fixes the defects also inspect?
No — the independent inspection must be carried out by a body that did not do the work. Arranging that is part of what we do.
What does it cost?
The inspection itself is priced by number of supply points. Remediation depends on the report, which is why we price it once the report exists and not before.
